Innovation Management
Program Outline
Innovations are increasingly the source of sustainable competitive advantage for entrepreneurs around the world. However, starting a new business on the base of innovations is of the hardest managerial experiments. Manager, stepping in the field of innovation is lack of previous experience, no market predictability, no established institutions.
The course designed to encourage students to understand the basic philosophy of innovation and to train the relevant skills needed to manage innovation at both strategic and operational levels. It provides evidence of different approaches based on real-world examples and experiences of leading organizations from around the world.
Human Resource Management plays a special role in innovative economy, because Human Capital is the most important key element of innovations. So modern HR-managers as a strategic business partners should actively implement new HR-technologies - talent-management, gamification, digitalization of HR-processes etc.

Docent at the Institute of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship, Ural Federal University. Delivers courses in Business Planning, Financial Analysis, Investment Management and Innovation Management.
Senior researcher at the Institute of Economy, Russian Academy of Sciences (Ekaterinburg, Russia). Conducts research on formation and development of Agroinnovation system, food supply systems for remote areas, supported by grants from Russian Academy of Sciences and Russian Humanitarian Fund.
