Prof. Joaquim Quintino-Aires from Vygotsky Institute in Lisboa will join International Summer Project School in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnology-2019 as a lecturer

UrFU Department of Psychology invited an additional lecturer to join International Summer Project School in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnology-2019, this will be Professor Joaquim Quintino-Aires – Founder of the Vygotsky Institute, PhD, Clinical psychologist and Neuropsychologist, Professor of Psychotherapy and Neuropsychology.

Doctor Joaquim Quintino-Aires will present a unit “Neuropsychological rehabilitation in conduct and personality disorders” which consists of 3 lectures: 1) Why neuropsychological rehabilitation in conduct and personality disorders? 2) Neuropsychological rehabilitation in conduct disorders. 3) Neuropsychological rehabilitation in personality disorders.

During the lectures students will be introduced to Vygotsky-Luria-Leont`ev`s theory on psychological development, theory of Luria on inter- and intra-systemic reorganization and Gal`perin’s theory of the planned formation of the mental actions in the neuropsychological rehabilitation, will look at the differences in brain organization in groups A, B and C in personality disorders and analyse case studies with video support.

This is the second International Summer Project School in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neurotechnology that will be organized at UrFU.
