Program Outline
Modern technologies especially focus on respect for human beings and nature, with intelligent data analytics, cyber-physical systems and predictive process simulation playing a significant role in them.
Advanced engineering and automation tools, collaborative robotics, biomimetics bio-inspired design, additive technologies are key components for industrial transformation in accordance with the concept of Industry 5.0.
The track offers projects that combine engineering theory and practice, focusing on solution of real work tasks in the fields of mechanical engineering, automation and robotization of the production and separate technological processes, design, analysis and optimization of various mechanisms and machines, mechanical, mechatronic, robotic devices and equipment based on the specifics of their operation and the results of the feasibility study. The program is aimed at students of engineering fields who require the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for solving research, design and production problems in the mechanical engineering industry using modern computer-aided design and engineering systems (CAD/CAE systems) that allow to study existing processes, identify and apply technologies for their optimization, while gaining a significant competitive advantage.
Course project:
The project is devoted to the calculation of designs and assemblies of machine parts and their optimization based on the analysis of parameters by the finite element method, justification by numerical solution methods, application of scientific research methods in various fields of design
Results: 3D model of the mechanism with analyzed loading and movement parameters.
Software: SolidWorks, ANSYS, Kompas, DeFORM
Prerequisites: Engineering Mechanics, Theory of Machines and Mechanisms, Machine Parts, Strength of Materials, Computer-Aided Design.
This project is about designing, automating, feasibility study of automated municipal solid waste utilization system. The system could be used as a first stage of recycling of municipal waste and can help to save space on the landfills
Software: SolidWorks, ANSYS, Project Expert, MS Project
Prerequisites: Engineering Mechanics, Theory of Machines and Mechanisms, Machine Parts, Strength of Materials, Computer-Aided Design
The projects have multidisciplinary results that include creating 3D hardware models, programming an ARM controller for a robotic cell, designing and simulating a robotic system
Pre-requisites: Basic software engineering (programming), Basic course of mathematics and physics
Software: SprutCam Robot, ABB RobotStudio, ANSYS, CAD, CAM, C as programming language
